Business Customer Spotlight: Boyce Feed and Grain

Since 1964, Boyce Feed and Grain has been a trusted name in Texas agriculture—and today, the company is building on that legacy with innovation, growth, and a statewide reach.

Led by owner Andy Lucas, Boyce Feed and Grain serves the livestock, pet, and agriculture industries through a unique, multi-faceted operation. What began as a lifelong dream to own private-label products has grown into a business with retail, manufacturing, and distribution arms that support customers across Texas and beyond.

A Full-Service Operation with Deep Roots

Boyce Feed and Grain operates a retail store in downtown Waxahachie, with plans underway to relocate and expand near its mill south of town off Highway 77 at 103 FM 55, Waxahachie, TX 76165 (soft opening in April 2026). The new location will blend ranch and farm supply with hardware and DIY offerings—serving everyone from backyard poultry owners to large-scale ranchers managing thousands of acres.

On the manufacturing side, Boyce produces custom-blended feeds, single-source packaged grains, and co-packaged products for major retailers. Its distribution network reaches approximately 200 feed stores statewide, partnering with well-known brands to help ensure smaller dealers have access to high-quality products.

“We grow as our customers grow,” Lucas shared. “It’s rewarding to see the impact we’re able to have on the livestock industry as a whole.”

Innovation Driven by Quality

A defining feature of Boyce Feed and Grain is its commitment to innovation—most notably through the launch of its performance show feed line, Hustle, which became commercially available in 2025. Developed through extensive testing and hands-on industry experience, Hustle feeds are formulated with a focus on quality and consistency rather than cost-cutting.

The response has been immediate. Within months of launch, production exceeded capacity, prompting plans for further expansion. The Hustle brand continues to grow across species, while Boyce’s wildlife division is evolving into its own standalone brand, Racket Feeds.

“Our goal is to give our products a heartbeat,” Lucas said. “When people buy from us, we want them to feel confident—not just in the results, but in the quality behind them.”

A Local Banking Partnership That Moves at Business Speed

When it came time to choose a financial partner, Lucas knew he wanted to keep the relationship local. That decision led him to Trinity Capital Bank of Texas.

“From the beginning, it felt like a partnership,” Lucas said. “The efficiency, the accessibility, and the ability to sit down face-to-face and have real conversations make a huge difference for a growing business like ours.”

He credits Trinity Capital Bank’s responsiveness and local decision-making with helping Boyce Feed and Grain move quickly in a fast-paced, competitive industry—without losing the small-town values that matter most.

Looking Ahead

With a new retail location on the horizon, expanding private-label brands, and continued statewide growth, Boyce Feed and Grain is well-positioned for the future—while remaining grounded in service, quality, and community.

At Trinity Capital Bank, we’re proud to support businesses like Boyce Feed and Grain that are shaping Texas industries and strengthening the communities they serve.
